2021 Juried Exhibition

Art changes lives. It changed the life of CREATE Arts Center’s founder Tamar Hendel when she was a young Jewish girl in hiding during World War II and inspired her to build a home for the artist in everyone.

 

In 1986 that inspiration became CREATE Arts Center, a 501(c)3 nonprofit visual arts organization whose mission is to spark creativity, foster learning, empower individuals, and facilitate community connections through the visual arts.

 

Since then, CREATE has welcomed more than 20,000 artists of all ages and backgrounds and helped them find inspiration through classes, camps, community events, and art therapy.

In May 2019, Tamar Hendel Gallery opened its doors under CREATE to host local and regional artists to foster the creative spirit of its community.
